What It’s Like Getting Enrolled
For families who have never enrolled in ABA therapy in Iowa, getting started can feel intimidating. The Beyond Behavior team is here to help every single step of the way and answer any questions. Below, you can learn more about the enrollment process that takes place after contacting us.
1) Contact Us
A family member can complete the online referral form to request Speech Therapy. Contact us to receive the online form.
2) Beyond Behavior Reaches Out To You
Our Clinic Administrator will contact the family to help obtain the required documents; copies of the client’s insurance cards, diagnostic report, and physician referral. The Clinic Administrator will send the family additional documents that can be signed online and returned.
3) Insurance Authorization
Once the needed documents are received, the Clinic Administrator will request authorization from insurance for an assessment. When approval for the assessment is received, a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will schedule an assessment appointment with the family.
4) Speech Assessment
This appointment allows the BCBA to determine the appropriateness of ABA, ask questions regarding skills and priorities of the family, and complete standardized assessments. The BCBA will write a treatment plan to submit to the client insurance for authorization. When authorization is received, the treatment can begin in clinic.
5) Start Ongoing Therapy
With a personalized plan created, and insurance authorized, the client and family can now move forward with attending ongoing therapy based on their schedule, goals, and needs.

TESTIMONIALS
What People Are Saying About Beyond Behavior
My son started the ABA program in April of 2021. We were nervous leaving his old school, but to our delight, he is thriving. I can tell all my son’s providers: Katie, Abby, Bev, Sammi and Cami go above and beyond for the kids they are supporting, and they truly care about their successes. They are very attentive to my child’s needs and great at communicating how his day went/any changes in behaviors, etc.
Thank you for believing in my kiddo. Thank you for loving him. Thank you for going the extra mile. I appreciate you. I see what you are doing. You have my gratitude from the depth of my heart.
